🐺THE MOTHMAN OF POINT PLEASANT

“People didn’t just see it… they felt like they were being watched before it appeared.”

📍 LOCATION

Point Pleasant, West Virginia

🧾 THE STORY

In the mid-1960s, residents of Point Pleasant began reporting something they couldn’t explain. A tall, winged figure… often seen at night… with glowing red eyes that reflected in the darkness. The first major sighting came in 1966, when two young couples encountered the creature near an abandoned TNT plant outside of town. They described a large, human-like figure with wings… standing in the shadows. When they fled in their car, it followed. Keeping pace. Watching. Over the next year, sightings continued. People reported strange lights in the sky. Unexplained feelings of dread. The sense that something was moving through the area… just out of sight. Then, in December 1967, the Silver Bridge collapsed during rush hour traffic. Forty-six people were killed. After that…The sightings stopped.

🧙‍♂️ FIELD NOTE

Some stories stick because they feel connected to something bigger. Not just a sighting… but a pattern. Places like this make you wonder if something shows up before events—not after.
